Abstract :
Based on energy balance, a three-dimensional zone method mathematic model on conventional reheating furnace is set up. By coupling with heat flux of slab surface, the temperature fields of furnace gas zones and furnace wall zones is obtained by using the main variable-correction method, and slab temperature fields by finite difference method. Under typical working condition, the model is verified by the testing data. The influences of thermodynamic operating parameter and structural parameter on heat transfer process under steady working conditions without changing the productivity are quantitatively researched.
