Abstract :
The mobile wireless technology has increased its data capacity, but the unpredictable nature of mobile channels still results in severe fading effects. This paper proposes a few algorithms, which modify the video bit stream structurally to improve its robustness. In virtual partitioning method, the rate matching algorithm has been modified to optimize the number of bits produced by macro blocks of different sensitivity to follow a common multiplicative factor. This method effectively replaces Resync markers. The motion vector sort algorithm reduces the difference between the motion vectors by reordering. The modified DC differential coding method reduces the reset distance between the values and length coding method has been employed to effectively identify frame boundaries. The methods illustrate good performance and compatibility with existing systems
