Abstract
China is one of the few countries over the world which uses coal as the main energy, and its coal production has become more than one third of the world. To cope with the serious problems caused by the coal exploitation such as waste discharge, environment destruction and land occupation, harmonious development of coal mines green exploitation and ecological environment has been suggested by Chinese scholars. This paper systematically introduces the general framework of underground backfilling technology for waste dumps disposal. The surface waste crushing and conveyance system, deep vertical feeding system used to convey waste from surface to underground, underground conveyance system, backfilling system layout of fully mechanized long wall mining with solid material backfilling technology, key equipment and backfill technics were researched and developed. The engineering application indicates: using the fully mechanized mining with solid material backfilling technology can dispose waste 30,000 to 50,000 tons while exploit coal 50,000 to 80,000 tons per month, so that a higher production, more effective recovery and environmental benefits will be realized.
