Abstract
Summary form only given as follows. Design principles of smart acoustic contact impedance evaluation (ACIE) sensors are discussed in this paper. Mechanical impedance of the piezoactive sensor is adjusted to the range of acoustic contact impedance associated with the specimen by utilizing different types and modes of vibrations. Several resonance frequency of AC and DC input signals are combined in order to obtain dynamic response from the different piezoactive zones.
