Abstract :
Electrical load simulator (ELS) is very important system of hardware in the loop simulation (HILL) in the ground-based. The ELS can reproduce actual loading torque acting on servo rudders of missiles or aircraft in flight conditions, which is a special passive dual servo system. According to the requirements of enduring aerodynamic pneumatic load on the rudders of missiles, in this paper four loading modes of DC torque motor are proposed in the condition of constant and sinusoidal torque loading with disturbance and without disturbance. Detailed simulation experiments show that DC torque motor driver not only satisfies the requirement of electrical load simulator´ loading, but also realizes bi-directional transmission of energy, high power factor, high efficiency and good performance.
