Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a scale-invariant block-based bilateral filter (SI-BBF) for spatial error concealment. The SI-BBF extends block-based bilateral filter (BBF) and takes advantage of both non-corrupted data and scale-invariant space data in restoring missing pixels, while operates in a block wise manner. In order to reduce the computational complexity, we introduce a novel weight adaptive selection scheme in our algorithm. Extensive experiments show favorable results of the proposed algorithm against several competitors.
