Abstract :
The authors discuss an approach to quality improvement called `Process Engineering´. The notion of a process is crucial to its success; and in addition, a new type of engineering, based on disciplined team work, supported by systematic analysis to determine the degree and quality of the value to be added by each function or operation, forms the basis of the underlying methodology. The authors discuss the process view, process engineering, value adding analysis and lead time reduction
