Abstract :
The paper describes the power system performance improvement initiatives which the UK´s South Western Electricity (SWEB) have undertaken in the last two years. On a comparative basis, SWEB are showing the biggest improvements of all the UK´s Regional Electricity Companies with a 45% reduction in average minutes lost and 28% overall reduction in interruptions to date. SWEB are determined that despite the difficulties of operating an electricity network in one of the most sparsely populated remote areas of the United Kingdom, they will continue to strive to keep their customers satisfied with the service that they provide
