Abstract :
This paper presents a modeling for a linear parameter varying (LPV) aircraft systems by using system identification. The prediction error method for linear time invariant (LTI) models is extended to the parameter estimation of polytopic models. The extended prediction error method is applied to the parameter estimation of an LPV aircraft system whose varying parameter is the flight velocity. The parameters of the initial polytopic model are adjusted so as to make the response and/or the model error small over the entire flight region.
