Abstract :
The different techniques of using multiple antennas in downlink transmission are discussed. The performance gains of each technique, compared to a single-antenna system, are evaluated with a series of simulations modeling downlink transmission in different environments. Simulation results show that the gains achievable are dependent on the propagation conditions.
