Abstract :
Summary form only given. Brushless DC motors have wide application in the field of classical electrical motors. On the other hand pulsating torque is a serious problem that must be dealt with carefully. In this work harmonic analysis is done for a brushless DC motor with special consideration to pulsating torques. A relation has been deduced between the amplitude of pulsating torques depending on the PWM inverter modulation index and chopping ratio.
