Abstract
This paper presents a preliminary stage of further researches that identifies factor that influence skin characteristic of Malay students. The objective of this research is to investigate the relationship between factors and skin characteristics. 100 Malay students were subjected to undergo a skin test and answer questionnaires. The skin tests were done by using Visionscan VC98 and results were automatically generated by SELS software. The analysis of both data then was made using SPSS software. Experiments accomplished on a dataset of 100 samples have shown that there are factors that can influence the characteristics of the skin of UiTM´s students such as gender and supplement intake. Meanwhile kind of soap used, types of skin, work pressure, water intake and type of product applied do not show significant effect to the skin characteristics of the subjects.
