Abstract
On the basic principle of digital amplifier, it can be deduced that the peak flux density Bpk varies with pulse duration of PDM. There is a certain relationship between core loss and Bpk, and the bigger the value of Bpk is, the more the core loss is. Since core of iron power with ideal magnetic characteristics is often recommended for design of inductor of digital amplifier, Oliver model is very fit to calculate the core loss of iron power. Due to computationally complex of Oliver model and discrepancies of Steinmetz model, a new model of core loss is put forward. In the model, original PCM signal can be compensated by utilizing an advanced compensation strategy. According to this compensated theory, a high fidelity signal of digital amplifier can be obtained. Test results also prove that this method is effective and correct.
