  • Abstract
Residue number system (RNS) finite-impulse-response (FIR) digital filter and discrete Fourier transform (DFT) systems are designed with GaAs components. Estimated processing bandwidths up to 300 MHz can be obtained using existing GaAs parts. By incorporating an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) into the system, processing bandwidths in excess of 400 MHz are possible. A discussion of the architecture is provided, along with performance estimates of various functions
