Abstract :
In this paper, physical phenomena of spatiotemporal transformation of stationary and non-stationary light beams in dielectric guiding structures with step-like refractive index profile and the Kerr-like non-linearity embedded are investigated. The structures, in particular, are step-like discontinuities in planar and cylindrical waveguides.
