Abstract
The paper considers a number of issues related to measuring and understanding use of innovative electronic document systems. It presents experiences related to the implementation of a digital library comprised of scientific and technical journal articles, and concentrates on one particular barrier to use: the difficulties potential users have in logging on to an electronic document system
