Abstract :
In this paper the authors present a novel control structure of synchronous generator. The new excitation system is based on voltage source. This last one is performed by a permanent magnet generator coupled with a hybrid converter. The converter is composed by three thyristors and three diodes. A sliding mode control is used to drive the system. The stability is ensured by using a Lyapunov function. A complete modelling of the drive is done with Matlab/Simulinktrade. The obtained results highlights the interest of this strategy.
