Abstract :
This study discusses the characteristics and properties of vortices in laser-type resonators. Various phenomena are also illustrated by experiments on lasers or laser-like systems like photorefractive resonator and by numerical solutions of the corresponding 2D+1 partial differential equations, such as the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation.
