Abstract
This paper studies MPLS/VPN/BGP Networks with respect to the RFC 4364 [1], which corresponds to our backbone-level research setting of interest. The main focus is on intranet systems connection and the assessment of the BGP algorithm when connecting MPLS Routers - CE (Customer Edge) and PE (Provider Edge). The assessment covers VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) establishment and its performance over the connection through a given VPN in a BGP Route Reflection setting.
