Abstract :
In wireless communication systems, equalization process is needed to suppress the inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by multipath channels. Conventional equalization techniques use training signals. Blind Methods are of great importance in the digital signal communication systems as they allow channel equalization at the receiver without the use of training signals. A blind equalization index is presented for the purpose of selecting the best equalizer. Simulation shows that the best-delayed equalizer performs much better than other equalization delays that are given by the ´Constant Modulus Algorithm´ and ´Linear Prediction Algorithm´. This paper deals with the equalization techniques using MIMO (multi input multi Output) FIR (finite impulse response) equalizers.
