Abstract :
The problem of plane wave diffraction by an imperfectly conducting wedge BOA with curved convex faces OA and OB is treated and the short-wave asymptotic of the scattered field applicable in the vicinities of faces and near the tangents OA´ and OB´ to the faces is found. We show that the creeping waves are excited in these domains. In the main term of the asymptotics these waves coincides with the waves excited by a source at a smooth convex surface multiplied by a constant factor which is found in the paper
