  • Abstract
The findings of the investigation of sectional ultrasonic irradiator (USI), which was implemented on several piezoplates as separate sections (from 2 to 6) located parallel to each other on lateral surface of flexible medical catheter, are presented in this paper. Irradiation intensity distribution of ultrasonic fluctuations for various thicknesses of biological tissue was obtained. Was found out, that the radiation intensity is maximum immediate above the piezoplate. The picture of ultrasonic field around of sectional radiator represents the superposition of the fields created by each section. Growth of uniformity of intensity distribution across radiator is observed with increase in number of sections. Six-sectional USI provides the maximum intensity and it´s the most uniform distribution.
