Abstract
In the past few years the United States Navy has placed an increased emphasis on the shallow and littoral areas of the world´s oceans. In response to this trend, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport Division developed and operates a suite of portable systems that can be deployed to almost any location in support of acoustic measurements or to provide accurate tracking data. These portable systems are an extension of existing state-of-the-art tracking and acoustic systems utilized on the Division´s complex of fixed three-dimensional (3D) underwater ranges located in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The portable systems described herein are 3D underwater tracking systems, acoustic measurement systems, and acoustic data analysis systems. Examples of their use and operation are provided
