Abstract :
In this paper, the problem of wideband radar cross section (RCS) calculations with asymptotic waveform evaluation (AWE) accelerated method of moments is considered. The traditional formulation, with RCS obtained independently for each frequency, based on Pade approximation of the current distribution is compared to the formulation where rational functions are used to directly approximate far fields. It is shown that an additional approximation used in the second attitude, may reduce the resulting bandwidth of the model.
