Abstract
The paper presents three types of F class insulation systems, designed by the authors of this article, for the stator winding of 6 kV induction motors, with powers up to 2500 kW, as well as the performances determined by testing these systems. Using the experimental results the authors identify the most performing insulation system and the significant affected parameters by the corona protection and by the type of impregnation resin. The results of the functional evaluation for two insulation systems are also presented in this article.
