Abstract :
In this paper we present details of the software package, purposed for visualization and analysis of physiological and environmental signals. The package is part of the Ventus system, developed within the Military Institute of Aviation Medicine, to assist the training process of Polish military pilots and cadets. The proposed package, based mainly on Borland´s Visual Component Library (VCL), is written in the object-oriented programming (OOP) technique and utilizes the DirectX library, which allows to use the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) directly. In the package we implemented electrocardiographic (ECG) signal visualization together with presentation of physical signals, such as acceleration, altitude, speed, grade, bank and course. In addition to the visualization facility, the software provides an innovative R wave detection method.
