Abstract
The State Estimator is an important tool that ERCOT relies on to monitor the real time state of power grid. As the parameter and topology errors are critical to the quality of state estimator results, operations engineers in ERCOT are using multiple tools to detect and identify the topology and parameter errors in ERCOT EMS network model. This paper will present ERCOT experience in detecting and identifying the topology and parameter errors using state estimator monitoring tools and by analyzing SE results.
