Abstract
A novel sensorless direct torque control scheme for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. The rotor position and actual torque is estimated based on the stator flux estimation. The error between the estimated and command torque controls the stator flux and voltage vector to obtain the desired torque. Computer simulation and experimental results are presented to substantiate the proposed scheme
