  • Abstract
    In this paper we present the study of potassium niobate KNbO3 single crystals with different cuts in order to observe the temperature dependence of the acoustic velocity of bulk waves in chosen crystallographic directions. The crystal was temperature controlled to determine the variation of the elastic constant versus the temperature. The novelty of this work concerns the determination for the first time for KNbO3, in the best of our knowledge, of the temperature coefficients of elastic constants C11 and C44. All measurements have been performed by Brillouin spectroscopy, in the range of (240-420 K)
