Abstract
The topic of internet-based services in the machinery and plant engineering sector is growing in importance. The results of the recently conducted empirical investigation "Internet-based services and business models in the machinery and plant engineering sector" will be presented. Furthermore it is shown, how business model description for internet-based services can look like. The methodology of Service Engineering is presented as a means for the development and implementation of internet-based services.
