Abstract :
Hybrid excitation synchronous machine (HESM) profit the advantages of permanent machine and electric excitation machine in quality, so it has a widely used prospect. The paper introduces its operation principle, classification, characteristics and the developing situation. And, the present application situation of HESM is summarized.
