Abstract :
All-optical networks (AON), in which the electrical regeneration bottlenecks are removed, due to this AON are growing rapidly in popularity. These are seen as the next generation backbone networks. As new technologies are introduced security will become increasingly important in the effort to reduce network vulnerability. This paper presents an overview of security issues in AONs.
