Abstract :
In this paper, detection performance of an energy detector is exploited under the ?-μ fading channel model.The ?-μ is a general fading channel model that includes the Rice and the Nakagami-m models as special cases. The receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves, as an important performance measure of the energy detector, are discussed. Furthermore, the improvement in detection capability is evaluated when cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) are employed under ?-μ fading channel. The analysis focuses on two fusion strategies: decision fusion and data fusion.
