Abstract
In this paper, a vector-controlled three-phase voltage-source inverter with an output LC filter for AC motor drives is introduced. A control strategy of the sinusoidal inverter is based on a multivariable state feedback controller with a steady-state error compensation, and a feedforward control from disturbance and reference inputs. The controller is designed in the reference frame rotating with the synchronous angular velocity of the reference output-voltage space vector. The performance of the controller is obtained by a pole placement technique. The features of the sinusoidal inverter have been verified by experiments.
