Abstract
Significant developments occurred in the field of electric power engineering at the end of 19th century. At the time of Tesla´s Niagara Falls power plant and first power systems in Europe, little is known about electric power system developments in Croatia. This paper presents historical background and activities associated with the first electric power system in Croatia -power plant and transmission line Krka -Sibenik which began operation in 1895.
