Abstract
This paper introduces a new hybrid fusion method which is comprised of fast intensity-hue-saturation (FIHS) and over complete discrete wavelet transform with rational dilation factors. Apart from speed, this hybrid fusion method can help to overcome the problems inherent in IHS and wavelet based methods. This method can also be used to extract the spatial information from the difference image of the panchromatic (PAN) and intensity images.
