Abstract :
A simple scheme is given for the realization of a voltage mode four-phase sinusoidal oscillator (VMFPSO). Using this scheme a VMFPSO employing second-generation current conveyors (CCIIs) as the active devices with grounded passive components is realized. The VMFPSO is then transformed into a dual output current conveyor [DO-CCII]-based voltage mode eight-phase sinusoidal oscillator (VMEPSO) by replacing the CCIIs by DO-CCIIs with some additional grounded passive components. For reducing the number of active and passive components count the [DO-CCII]-based VMEPSO is also transformed into a multi output current conveyor [MOCCII]-based VMEPSO. The proposed circuits enjoy attractive features such as the use of grounded passive components, equally spaced in phase output voltages, and low sensitivity figures. The use of grounded passive components makes the circuits suitable for modern IC technologies. The realized oscillator circuits are designed and verified using PSpice simulation.
