Abstract
The biodegradable polymer polycaprolactone was tested in vitro and in vivo as an intraocular drug delivery device loaded with 5-carboxyfluorescein dye. Zero-order release of carboxyfluorescein was obtained in vitro. The device was tolerated well after implantation in the rabbit eye. Further studies are necessary to determine the efficacy of this form of drug delivery
