Abstract
Information Technology (IT) is becoming an important tool for managing construction information and processes, it is also evolving to be an effective managerial aid for assisting construction decision makers. This paper examines basic IT topics and the depths that need to be covered in an infrastructure engineering and management curriculum. An IT course model is proposed which provides guidance for developing IT courses in construction education. Difficulties and challenges that may be encountered in developing and offering IT courses are anticipated
