Abstract
Efficient low complexity implementation of the generalized RAKE scheme in a downlink CDMA receiver is discussed. Several simplifications of the original algorithm are presented. They reduce the computational complexity significantly while maintaining virtually the same performance. The overall computational complexity is presented. It is shown that the G-RAKE can be implemented in the downlink receiver with only a modest complexity increase.
