Abstract
A single-stage long-term clinical trial was given for indigenously prepared hydroxyapatite coated titanium screw-type dental implant in six young adults using suitably designed and produced implant kit. Under local anaesthesia, bone was drilled at a very low speed (30 rpm) and implants were screwed in place. Clinical mobility was tested and radiographs were taken at a periodical interval up to 30 months. The implants were found to be clinically successful and radiographically acceptable
