Abstract
Commercial demining companies eagerly await technology breakthroughs for humanitarian mine clearance and they are keen to assist in the evaluation of new systems to be convinced that they can be operated in the field, perform to standard and are cost effective. Whilst the demining community waits for technology breakthroughs, innovation and technical ingenuity have helped with improvements to the traditional mine detection tools to improve cost effectiveness, clearance standards and operator safety to the general benefit of mankind
