Abstract :
With the introduction of the variable frequency (VF) supply system in today´s aircraft like the Airbus A380, the restrictions on the distortions produced by electric equipment have been intensified. To meet these requirements, the conventional six-pulse diode bridges for three-phase loads have to be replaced by suitable concepts which lead to a near resistive input behaviour of the power electronic stages. This paper proposes a 2 kW active three-phase rectifier for an electric drive integrated into the trolley lift conveyance system of the new Airbus A380
