Abstract :
A circuit model of the University of New Mexico (UNM) Reltron cavity is developed in order to model the eigenmodes in the cavity. The circuit model has three resonance modes. These three eigenmodes correspond to the 0, Π/2 and Π modes in the cavity. The particle-in-cell code MAGIC is used to simulate the field distribution inside the cavity when the cavity is resonating in an eigenmode.
