Title :
Performance analysis of a C2 system
Author :
Lageman, James A. ; Strigle, Joseph P.
Abstract :
The authors present the methodology and results of a simulation analysis of a transportable command and control system. The SIMAN simulation language was used to provide accurate estimates of system throughput and resource loading for the Ethernet-based multiprocessor system. These estimates were used to verify the system design against specified requirements. A detailed description of the modeled system architecture, the input message characteristics, and the performance metrics analyzed are presented. For two configurations the authors give results that support Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB) and Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) deployments and include response times for various input messages, as well as utilizations and queueing characteristics for the multiple resources
