Abstract
This paper shows the development and experimental results of a diode-clamped three-level converter driving a synchronous machine, connected to the network. A double hysteresis-band current control strategy has been used to control the power converters and a three-level converter prototype has been developed in order to test this strategy. Constant switching frequency and easy control of DC capacitor voltage balance can be obtained by using this technique and experimental results have demonstrated
