Abstract :
The following paper introduces a method for the determination and correction of the distortion introduced by the radiation pattern of directive probe antennas. The purpose is to correct the near field distortion when measuring antennas at near field ranges. The proposed probe correction method is thought to be used jointly with an integral equation method relating sources and fields. From the near field measurements, NF-FF transformations are implemented by means of the characterization of the antenna through its equivalent sources, which are reconstructed using inverse Integral Equation techniques combined with the proposed probe correction method.
