Abstract
This paper presents initial synchronization techniques for antenna arrays in the presence of interference signals. When a new desired signal arrives, the timing and frequency synchronization is needed in the beginning of communication. Firstly, we present a simplified signal processing structure with low complexity for timing synchronization. Secondly, a frequency synchronization method is presented for antenna arrays. Thirdly, we improve timing and frequency synchronization using weight computation method with rapid convergence in the presence of continuous interference signals. Numerical results show that our method enables precise initial synchronization for antenna arrays.
