Abstract
The performance of the adaptive MMSE maximum likelihood CDMA receiver is analysed. Instead of the matched filter (MF) bank as the generator of sufficient statistics for maximum likelihood detection (MF-ML), a bank of minimum mean squared error (MMSE) filters is used. It is shown that the proposed MMSE-ML receiver achieves increased information capacity in a multicellular environment. Numerical results showing the performance of the MMSE-ML receiver in a multipath channel environment are presented
