Tools for analysing the performance of ATC surveillance radars

To support the European Air Traffic Control Harmonisation and Integration Programme, EATCHIP, the Eurocontol Agency is supporting the development of a tool set to verify the appropriate surveillance standards and provide a common method of assessing the performance of a total radar chain including the radar data processing system at an ATC centre. The tool set is essentially split into two elements, one for assessing the radar sensors performance whilst the other is designed to derive measures of performance at an air traffic control centre. The tools have been assigned the names Surveillance Analysis Support System for Sites and Centres
